Since planting our fruit and veg seeds a couple of weeks a go, we have been observing and watching them grow from seedlings to big plants. Finally all of the watering has payed off, this week we have been able to harvest the radish! We took some home for parents to see and also tried some of them for snack. Having the opportunity to grow our own fruit and veg from seeds has inspired the children to draw pictures of them throughout different stages of their growth cycle. Thank you to all of the people who have donated pots, soil, and seeds to help make this possible for the children, as you can see by the smiles on their faces they are very happy with their fruit and veg patch! 😁
On the last week of term at preschool we had some very special visitors! One set of our parents kindly bought in a few of their pets for us to look at, there was a small royal python called Moomi, 2 tortoises and some little tiny cockroaches for us to look at! All children got the choice of whether to participate or not but they all got so excited and were really brave and loved it! Massive thankyou to the parents for visiting us! |
