The Creators first picnic of the year in the sunshine, jam sandwiches were enjoyed by all.
The Creators went to the Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery, which looks at the war, fossils, George Eliot, the Victorians and the coal mines.
The children showed a lot of interest in all of the areas but mainly the role play dress up area, where they could get imaginative!
Over the last couple of weeks in Inventors we have been talking about our feelings, being kind to everyone and how we can make people feel happy. We decided to further this in to our local community by making hearts with some kind word on, these are for people to find and take home, so they will feel loved to. The children really enjoyed this and have not stopped talking about. ❤
If you find one of these hearts while out and about could you please take a photo and share it on Facebook tagging us in it.
The Inventors book of the fortnight is 'Goodnight Digger' which they have been reading lots during the week. The children have really enjoyed focusing on this story!
Today on their walk they decided to take their book with them and go on a hunt for diggers.
They were successful and managed to find 3 diggers on their walk. One even drove right near them!
Well, it's safe to say that the children enjoyed pancake day at nursery today!
The Explorers and Discoverers made a pancake sensory tuff spot! The Creators and the Inventors made their own pancakes and then all of the rooms enjoyed them for their tea!
The question this month was 'Do you and your child feel welcomes by the nursery?' - We had a great response, with 56 saying yes and 1 saying no.
We are very pleased with the feedback that we are receiving on these monthly questions. We love to hear your views on the nursery as it helps us to improve on the service that we provide.
The new monthly question is 'Do you feel the nursery is meeting your expectations of care and learning opportunities?'
We would love to hear from you all, so please visit the parent station in reception and let us know what you think :)
We have decided to display our story of the fortnight, so that all of you as parents know what we are reading at nursery.
Repeating favourite stories helps to consolidate understanding of the story narrative. Repetition encourages children to predict what's going to happen next, understand the sequence of the book and learn repeated refrains. They may also act out the story and repeat it in their play and it offers out a topic for them to start conversations with their peers or at home with their families.
Each of the rooms will be changing their books every fortnight and they will be chosen based on the interests shown by the children in the rooms.
Please keep an eye out for the display in your child's room, showing you what books we are focusing on that fortnight :)
