The Adventurers went over to the allotment today to see how much our plants have grown. Whilst there they saw lots of different types of insects such as spiders, bumblebees and caterpillars. This lead us to talk about the different transitioning cycles of the insects as we explained that caterpillars turn into butterflies. We also saw the tadpoles and the children are beginning to understand that they turn into frogs. When we got back to nursery we read the hungry caterpillar and they loved it.
