Forest School

The children had a lot of fun at forest school on Friday afternoon, Their session started by sitting around the log circle listening to Alex sing songs, the children made song requests for Alex to sing to them. After Alex explained all about the safety rules of forest school, the children watched Alex from the safety of our circle to create a small fire, they all watched from a safe distance respecting the fire, and talking about why we need to be safe. After the children took the opportunity to explore the different activities provided by Alex, some loved climbing trees and testing out the hammock. A small adult led group began to build their own den with a front garden, using large sticks they found to balance on the tree and then laying on the ground to create a larger space.
