This morning at forest school our Inventors started with singing songs, joining in with the beat by using sticks on the logs to make their own drums, after they watched Alex make a small fire in preparation for us to use the Kelly Kettle next week. While some of the children helped Jackie to build a den using the large sticks they found and placing them so they balance. Others used the spades, water and paint brushes to dig in the mud, to create mud pies and painting the trees. Some children had the chance to do some tool work Alex one to one using the log with nails and the hammer, they learnt to use tools safely and to stay a safe distance from our peers who are using the tools.
