Using our Smiles minibus the children get to explore the big outdoors. The children have had lots of fun exploring Burbage Woods and Fosse Meadows.
Getting the children out of the nursery and into the outdoors is very rewarding. Outings help the children feel more rooted in their local community and they will begin to make strong connections with the outside world. It provides them with rich learning opportunities, including hands-on and interactive experiences, building on what the children are learning in the nursery.
These outings can stimulate curiosity and inspire new interests and can foster children’s social skills and self-confidence as well as promote healthy living.
The children (and staff) show so much excitement whilst exploring and discovering these surroundings and can not wait for their next adventures!
