At Smiles, our curriculum is inspired by The Curiosity Approach and the Reggio Emilia Approach. These guiding principles create a dynamic and empowering environment where learning flourishes naturally, and children are the true architects of their educational journey.
We believe that children’s joy and happiness are a big part of their learning. At Smiles, we encourage them to have fun as a part of their education, with child-led activities which are adapted to their abilities and interests.
Embracing the Curiosity Approach philosophy means embracing the innate curiosity in every child. We encourage children to explore, question and investigate the world around them, cultivating a deep love for learning. We have created an atmosphere where children’s questions are welcome and where the joy of discovery fuels their educational experience.
The Reggio Emilia Approach is rooted in the belief that children are natural learners, we focus on their innate curiosity and competency. Children are the co-creators of their education and are encouraged to explore and engage with their surroundings. We have also designed our learning environment to be a “third teacher”, a space that invites children to freely investigate, learn and express themselves through a range of tools and toys.
